The first event of Rush, Meet the Greeks, is held during the first month of each semester. This is usually held in Downs Hall, the University Center or the near the rock garden. Each organization decorates a table and Potential New Members are invited to walk around and get to know the members and a little about each organization. This is when the PNMs generally find out when and where each sorority is holding their individual recruitment parties.

Each sorority usually has 3 or 4 recruitment events over a period of approximately 2 weeks. During this time, PNMs meet the members and learn about what each sorority stands for, while the members get a chance to meet the interested women. Anyone can come to recruitment, but to be eligible to pledge, you must be a Kean University student, have completed at least 9 credits, and have a GPA of at least 2.0.
